Close to perfect.

Just used in a downpour. Definitely waterproof. Utilized the upper arm pocket for my cellphone.

Only gripe is the that the neck area could be an inch longer. It is especially noticeable when wearing a backpack. Easily remedied by pulling the jacket up from under the backpack straps a little though.

Hood took some getting used to but once it’s adjusted it feels just fine.

Great Packable Rain Layer

This is a very good option for a packable rain layer. I like the non adjustable elastic sleeve cuffs- it’s all you need for a garment like this. The single cinch drawcord hem is nice but I would like to see some sort of keeper for the excess shock cord when you tighten it. The drop tail is a nice touch and useful but aesthetically I would prefer a regular hem that’s all the same length. I do understand the why Beyond went with it though. The sleeves are nice and long for my lanky build (medium long size). The fact that Beyond offers long sizes in general is supper appreciated. The sleeves are kind of raglan but there is a shoulder seam. I would prefer a true raglan sleeve. The pocket layout is simple and effective. I do sometimes wear a hip pack with the garment though so I would like the “hoodie” style front pockets to have taller zippers or just placed higher in general. The hood is very nice. It zips up very tightly and securely. Could maybe be a little more spacious for me personally. The whole thing packs up into nothing which is superduper. The material used is very nice, too. Overall very nice stuff. A proper made packable rain layer. Love Beyond and their stuff!

Better than expected!

This was my first purchase from Beyond and I had high recommendation from friends.
The half zipper design was what got my attention, and I was amazed! It is indeed a lightweight coat, but an amazing wind breaker and that's what I was going for.
I didn't even notice it has a pocket to fold into it self until after I got it so that was also an amazing feature.

Excellent, Lightweight Rain Protection

Material is light enough to be comfortable in warm, humid environments while providing incredible waterproofing. Pockets are abundant and keep items within completely dry.
